These terms govern your use of FitMetricLab, including this website and its tools and services. By accessing or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please discontinue use of the site and services.

These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Brightscale Labs Limited ("we", "us", or "the Company"), a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16990009). Last updated: 2026-05-17.

Educational Use Only

FitMetricLab tools are provided for informational and educational use only. Content and outputs do not constitute medical, nutritional, training, or clinical advice, and they should not be treated as a diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for consultation with a qualified physician, registered dietitian, certified trainer, or other healthcare professional.

Acceptable Use

Misuse of the site is prohibited. This includes scraping at volume, attempting to disrupt service, using the tools for unlawful activity, or using them to mislead others. Respect for our intellectual property and branding is required at all times. Automated access that places undue load on the service may be rate-limited or blocked.

You may link to FitMetricLab freely. You may embed tool outputs in personal notes, training logs, or non-commercial educational materials. For commercial embedding or republishing of substantial portions of the site, please contact us.

Accounts and Data

No accounts are required for these tools. Calculations run in your browser. If you share or export data (such as screenshots or copied results), be sure to handle and store it securely — particularly where it concerns body composition, health metrics, or other sensitive personal information.

Intellectual Property

The site design, code, layout, tool descriptions, methodology notes, and compiled formula explanations are owned by Brightscale Labs Limited or used under licence. Mathematical formulas themselves are public knowledge and not claimed as our intellectual property — we attribute their primary sources on each tool page where applicable.

Limitation of Liability and Indemnity

General Limitation: You acknowledge that the service is provided free of charge and that the following limitations are fair and reasonable. To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of England and Wales, Brightscale Labs Limited (and its directors, employees, or agents) shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages. This includes damages for loss of profits, loss of training progress, injury arising from training decisions, data loss, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the calculators;
• Any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in calculator outputs;
• Any training, nutrition, or health-related decisions made or actions taken by you in reliance on the information provided;
• Unauthorised access to or alteration of your transmissions or data;
• Any content or conduct of any third party on the service.

Financial Cap: In no event shall the Company's total aggregate liability exceed the greater of: (a) the total fees paid by you to the Company (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim; or (b) £50.00 GBP.

Indemnity: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Brightscale Labs Limited from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (i) your misuse of the service; (ii) your violation of these Terms; or (iii) any claim by a third party that your use of the service caused them loss or damage.

Legal Exceptions: Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by the laws of England and Wales.

Third-Party Services

Some features may use third-party services (for example Cloudflare for hosting and security, Google AdSense for advertising, Google Analytics for anonymised usage measurement). When you use those features, the third party's terms and privacy practices also apply. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details.

No Medical or Professional Relationship

Use of FitMetricLab does not create any medical, coaching, dietetic, or other professional relationship between you and Brightscale Labs Limited. Results shown by the calculators are mathematical estimates, not assessments by a qualified professional.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as we improve the service. Changes will be posted here, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. By continuing to use the service after changes are posted, you agree to the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in England for any dispute arising out of or related to these terms or your use of the site.
